Sharnie Thomson‘s journey in the insurance industry started truly with the tradition of “jumping in the deep end”, beginning during a catastrophe (CAT) event in 2014. Sharnie came with a clear customer focus, which she has extended into the Insurance Sector, adding to her eight years in various claims management roles.

Despite starting in property, Sharnie fell naturally into motor and has a passion for heavy vehicles and machinery stemming from her family’s civil business.

Sharnie is ambitious and dedicated to her cause. She started her journey with Hello Claims New Zealand in 2018 as the first employee in operations. She worked her way up to her current role and served as General Manager to lead a solid and successful team.
